Flexible work physio style

Flexible work physio style

When we often talk about flexibility to our patients, we aren’t usually referring to work hours or lifestyle.  Flexibility usually means the ability to bend without breaking – or in a physio sense we start talking about your muscle’s ability to stretch to allow movement!

But what about all this talk about flexible work?

Does it mean the ability to work from home? Early start/early finish? Longer lunch break for Doctor’s/Physio appointments?

In our industry is very patient focussed.  We become physios because we care about people and with the type of work we do at The Healthy Body Company we need to be available physically for our hands-on skills and also after hours for those individuals who work full time.  You are welcome. Sometimes we get asked by our patients how we manage the working longer days.

The good news is – there is a silver lining. In our case the longer workday means a day off in the week.  I find it great to have this time to catch up on life admin, appointments and just to relax.

Personally, my work-life balance has improved significantly since our new clinic in Mount Annan has opened.

My now 5 minute commute now means that even though we finish work at around 7pm, I am home at 7:05pm. – That’s not too much later than most people considering the average work commute around Sydney is 45mins to an hour!  The only trouble is that my car takes 10 minutes to warm up ????????

As always, if you have any questions, give us a call, send us an email or pop in to our new practice and have a chat in person!
