Who am I? This is a good question. I am a canoe slalom athlete, a rock climber, a trail runner, and a physiotherapist. I am a Tasmanian at heart with a deep love for the outdoors.
I have recently made the move to Penrith to pursue my Canoe Slalom career with the upcoming World Championships being in Penrith in 2025. Whilst in pursuit of my sporting endeavours, I am feeling very privileged to have the opportunity to join the team at The Healthy Body Company Penrith clinic.
I am very passionate about my physiotherapy career, having worked in private practice for the past 2 years in Canberra. My first 2 years as a physiotherapist have been both fulfilling and challenging. I have seen a wide variety of presentations across all walks of life, which has taught me to keep an open mind, and to trust my knowledge and intuition that I have built from both study and experience.
I have also learnt that it is ok not to know the answer and that calling on a colleague, or another health professional can be an invaluable step to providing the best care to a client.
Outside of my work, you will find me in the Blue Mountains rock climbing, trail running, or at the Penrith Whitewater Stadium training. These passions have led me to have a special interest in managing kayaking and rock climbing-related injuries.
Over the past couple of years I have gained experience with managing various climbing-related injuries and have helped kayakers from flat water, white water, and canoe polo return to their full capacity.
I am excited about the opportunity to work with such a great team across all of The Healthy Body Company clinics. I am hungry to learn and expand my knowledge and experience from all of the amazing brains throughout the team.
